Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Loan Underwriter II to evaluate credit risk and determine borrowers' ability to repay residential mortgages.

Key Responsibilities

• Review loan packages for completeness and compliance with established policies
• Analyze financial data to assess borrowers' repayment capacity and document risk mitigation
• Interact with team members and provide updates throughout the loan lifecycle while ensuring compliance with guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience in financial services or mortgage banking
• Minimum 5 years of experience in jumbo underwriting to investor or organization's guidelines
• Minimum 5 years of experience with state and federal lending regulations
• Familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines preferred
