Job Summary
To provide top-tier legal counsel to public agencies, the full-time California Licensed Municipal Law Attorney will focus on complex issues such as land use and governance, draft ordinances, and represent clients in various administrative settings while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clear legal guidance to public agencies on complex issues like land use, contracts, and governance
- Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, and policies to ensure compliance with state and federal laws
- Attend and represent clients in administrative hearings and city council meetings
Required qualifications
- At least 5 years of legal practice, preferably in public agency or municipal law
- Member in good standing with the California State Bar
- Experience with government contracting, land use, labor and employment law, or environmental law is a bonus
- Proactive and detail-oriented with strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and manage projects independently
