Job Summary

Seeking a part-time California Licensed Nurse Practitioner who can reliably commute to Oakland, CA, to provide medication abortion care via a telemedicine platform, including patient evaluations, prescriptions, and follow-up support, while working a flexible schedule that includes on-call shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and determine eligibility for online medication abortion treatment through video or phone consultations
• Prescribe medications to patients and coordinate with pharmacies for delivery or pickup
• Respond to medical inquiries requiring further evaluation and guide nursing staff on referrals and additional prescriptions

Required qualifications

• Active Board Certification and state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in California
• Medi-Cal credentialed with no restrictions on credentialing with other Medicaid plans
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing abortion and reproductive healthcare
• Interest in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse population
• Proficient in using online tools and technology for patient care and communication
