California Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary

To support a nationwide telehealth initiative, the part-time California Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant will provide remote occupational therapy services, collaborate with licensed therapists, and educate clients on improving their functional abilities through virtual platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote occupational therapy services, including exercises and interventions to help patients achieve their goals
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to enhance independence and well-being
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA compliance

Required qualifications

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Active California State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License or ability to apply
• Experience in a clinical, private practice, hospital, or home health setting
• Technical proficiency to conduct teletherapy through an all-inclusive platform
• Comfortable working with pediatric clients (18 months+), with a preference for experience in feeding, sensory, and neurodiverse clients
