Job Summary
To support a nationwide teletherapy initiative, the part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will provide remote occupational therapy services, collaborating with licensed Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans and enhance clients' functional abilities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote occupational therapy interventions, exercises, and activities to help clients achieve their goals
- Educate clients and caregivers on strategies to improve independence and well-being
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards
Required qualifications
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Active California State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License or eligibility to apply
- Experience in clinical, private practice, hospital, or home health settings
- Technical proficiency for conducting teletherapy sessions
- Comfortable working with pediatric clients (18 months and older) and experience with neurodiverse clients
