Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder specializing in Orthopedics.

Key Responsibilities

• Review provider-submitted coding in EPIC against clinical documentation and resolve edits
• Address clearinghouse rejections and recommend coding corrections based on documentation
• Analyze post-bill denials and payer edits to recommend coding updates

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of active orthopedic coding experience
• Current CPC (AAPC) or equivalent certification
• Extensive experience coding orthopedic services in various settings
• Strong knowledge of billing edits, clearinghouse edits, and payer denials
• Experience providing coding feedback and education to providers
