Job Summary

Offering a remote opportunity, the Medical Director - Orthopedic Spine Surgeon will lead the claims review program, review surgical and spinal claims for correct coding, and engage in telephonic discussions with providers regarding clinical coding and appeals.

Key responsibilities:

• Review surgical and spinal claims for accurate coding using clinical records
• Participate in training related to regulatory compliance and discuss cases with treating providers
• Support compliance with regulatory agency standards and provide clinical support for initial reviews

Required qualifications:

• Current, active, and fully unrestricted medical license
• Current board certification in Orthopedic Surgery through ABMS or AOA
• 5+ years of clinical experience in Orthopedic surgery, specializing in spinal surgery post-residency
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
