Job Summary

To support a growing dermatology practice, the full-time California Licensed Patient Financial Specialist will manage patient financial inquiries and the accounts receivable lifecycle, focusing on resolving complex billing questions and facilitating timely payment resolution in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively contact patients regarding outstanding balances and clarify insurance benefits
• Optimize patient account collections through timely follow-ups and accurate account reconciliations
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting interactions and managing patient inquiries

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare call center or high-volume patient support environment
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or healthcare revenue cycle functions
• 1+ years of remote working experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent educational experience; Associate degree preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. healthcare revenue cycle functions and HIPAA regulations
