Job Summary
To support a growing dermatology practice, the full-time California Licensed Patient Financial Specialist will manage patient financial inquiries and the accounts receivable lifecycle, ensuring timely payment resolution while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively contact patients regarding outstanding balances and clarify insurance benefits
- Optimize patient account collections through timely follow-ups and accurate payment processing
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and industry standards while documenting interactions in the EHR/PM system
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare call center or high-volume patient support environment
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or healthcare revenue cycle functions
- 1+ years of remote working experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. healthcare revenue cycle functions and HIPAA regulations
