Job Summary
Supporting the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly U.S. payroll, the full-time California Licensed Payroll Accountant will manage payroll operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide employee support in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly U.S. payroll and assist with international payroll activities to ensure timely and accurate employee payments
- Review payroll inputs for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and manage compliance activities related to garnishments and payroll taxes
- Prepare payroll journal entries and account reconciliations, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Required qualifications
- 2-5 years of payroll experience, including hands-on processing of multi-state U.S. payroll
- Experience using Workday Payroll
- Payroll accounting experience, including journal entries and month-end close
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
