California Licensed Payroll Manager

Job Summary

Owning full-cycle payroll operations for a multi-site workforce, the remote California Licensed Payroll Manager will ensure compliance with state regulations, manage payroll cycles, and serve as the primary payroll contact within Finance and HR.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle payroll processing for a largely hourly, multi-site workforce
• Ensure compliance with California wage & hour, payroll tax, and labor regulations
• Oversee 401(k) deductions, remittance, reconciliation, and related reporting

Required Qualifications

• 3-10 years of hands-on payroll processing experience
• Deep California payroll compliance experience
• Multi-site payroll experience
• Experience using a modern payroll platform (e.g., Paylocity or similar)
• Intermediate Excel skills
