Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time California Licensed People Partner will manage employee relations, provide compliance guidance to management, and facilitate regional HR inquiries in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues while identifying trends and potential risks
- Provide guidance to managers on HR-related questions, including progressive discipline and compliance with wage and hour laws
- Conduct HR audits and fulfill legal requests, while maintaining awareness of local regulations and training needs
Required qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in multi-unit and multi-state retail or restaurant support
- Experience with complex employee relations cases and investigations
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and HR certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred
- Experience managing accommodations under ADA and state-level guidelines
