Job Summary

Supporting the Wetlands Protection Program, the part-time California Licensed Permit Coordinator will manage technical reviews, quality control, and oversight of consultant work products related to wetlands and waterway jurisdictional delineation reports while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Review and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Clean Water Act and California Fish and Game Code
  • Collaborate with the wetlands team and project stakeholders to develop permitting strategies and provide guidance based on project needs
  • Coordinate with federal and state resource agencies to ensure adherence to water quality protection regulations
Required qualifications
  • 3 years of general water quality compliance experience
  • 3 years of experience in regulatory permitting and negotiation in California
  • 2 years of experience as a jurisdictional water and wetland delineator, including completion of a minimum 40-hour Wetland Delineation course
  • 2 years of resource and project planning experience
  • 2 years of experience using ArcGIS and Google Earth
