Job Summary
As a full-time California Licensed Pharmacogenomics Pharmacist, the specialist will lead the clinical implementation of a pharmacogenomic program, manage medication therapy, and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes, while working onsite with the option to work remotely one day a week and fulfilling staffing requirements of one weekend every four weeks or one weekday every other week.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the clinical implementation of pharmacogenomic programs and oversee medication management activities
- Collaborate with physicians, genetic counselors, and other healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
- Serve as the subject matter expert for complex drug-gene medication management
Required qualifications
- Pharm.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California
- Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent practice experience
- Completion of PGY2 residency in Pharmacogenomics preferred
- BLS certification as outlined in pharmacy policy and procedure
