Job Summary
Working remotely within California, the full-time California Licensed Pharmacy Coordinator will manage medication prior authorizations, support ambulatory care pharmacy services, and facilitate patient access to medications through various assistance programs.
Key responsibilities
- Gather required information and prepare initial assessments for patients regarding prescribed medications and access challenges
- Research and identify options for patients to secure medication access, including prior authorizations and assistance programs
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and manage renewals of medications and eligibility for assistance programs
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Demonstrable experience with pharmaceutical/drug assistance programs
- Experience in pharmacy or medical insurance coverage
- Related work experience in a retail pharmacy, healthcare clinic, or hospital environment
- Excellent customer service skills
