Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Pharmacy Technician Sr. Medi-Cal Rx to evaluate and authorize prior authorization pharmacy requests remotely in California.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and authorize prior authorization requests based on clinical criteria and communicate decisions to relevant parties
• Provide information on prior authorization criteria, pharmacy benefit coverage, and formulary alternatives
• Monitor team performance, assess training needs, and serve as a mentor and resource for team members

Required Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician (LPT) in accordance with California state requirements
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and health plan formulary management
• Proficiency in pharmacy computerized systems and MS Office Product Suite
