Job Summary

Supporting patients with prescription management, the full-time California Licensed Pharmacy Technician will work remotely to authorize renewals based on standing orders, triage refill requests, and communicate with healthcare providers and patients to enhance care efficiency.

Key responsibilities
  • Process prescription renewal requests received from pharmacies, EHR, and patients according to established protocols
  • Notify prescribing providers of any unmet protocol criteria after reviewing medication requests
  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls professionally while updating patients on the status of their refill requests
Required qualifications
  • One (1) year of experience in a non-acute care licensed pharmacy
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program
  • Clear and current California Pharmacy Technician license
  • Thorough knowledge of legend drugs and medical terminology
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records (EMR)
