Job Summary
Supporting high-quality patient care, the full-time California Licensed Pharmacy Technician will manage prescription refill requests remotely, authorizing renewals based on established protocols and significantly reducing providers' administrative burdens.
Key responsibilities
- Review and triage prescription refill requests, notifying prescribing providers of any unmet protocol criteria
- Update patients on the status of their refill requests and manage a high volume of incoming calls professionally
- Document required information in the EHR and escalate unresolved matters to supervisors as needed
Required qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in a non-acute care licensed pharmacy
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program
- Clear and current California Pharmacy Technician license
- Thorough knowledge of legend drugs and medical terminology
- Excellent computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records (EMR)
