Job Summary
Supporting high-quality patient care, the full-time California Licensed Pharmacy Technician will manage prescription refill requests remotely, authorizing renewals based on approved protocols and significantly reducing provider workload.
Key responsibilities
- Triages and approves prescription refill requests, notifying providers of any unmet criteria
- Updates patients on the status of their refill requests and manages a high volume of incoming calls
- Documents all required information in the EHR and escalates unresolved matters to supervisors as needed
Required qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in a non-acute care licensed pharmacy
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program
- Clear and current California Pharmacy Technician license
- Thorough knowledge of legend drugs and medical terminology
- Excellent computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records (EMR)
