Job Summary

California Licensed Physician Advisor is a part-time position responsible for conducting medical necessity reviews for Medi-Cal payor regulations, engaging with attending physicians, and performing case reviews across multiple specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct medical necessity reviews for Medi-Cal payor regulations
• Engage with attending physicians to discuss appropriate patient status based on documentation
• Provide written analysis of cases and perform case reviews across various specialties

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO medical licensure in California
• At least 3 years of experience post-residency focused on inpatient treatment
• Strong clinical knowledge across multiple clinical areas
• Ability to work a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week, including some weekends
• Home office must be HIPAA compliant
