Job Summary
To support ongoing clinical reviews, the remote California Licensed Physician Associate will manage the adjudication of appeals and grievances cases, collaborating with medical directors and an integrated team while working full-time in a salaried position.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct clinical reviews and adjudicate appeals and grievances for various health plans and insurance products
- Communicate with medical directors regarding appeals decision rationales and benefit interpretations
- Participate in team meetings focused on communication, process improvement, and sharing program results
Required qualifications
- Current Physician Assistant/Associate license in the state of residence
- Current Board Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- 5+ years of clinical PA practice experience
- Intermediate computer skills: MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to work Monday-Friday during normal business hours
