Job Summary
Supporting a team of attorneys, the full-time remote California Licensed Practice Assistant will manage document preparation, maintain calendars, and provide general administrative support to ensure the delivery of quality legal services.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and processing legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda while ensuring proper formatting and proofreading
- Maintaining and updating calendars for assigned attorneys, including scheduling meetings and managing appointments
- Managing paper and electronic files in compliance with internal policies and performing routine filing and retrieval of documents
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a practice assistant or legal secretary
- Experience with California processes and filings
- Knowledge of legal terminology, documents, and processes
- Accurate typing speed of at least 70 words per minute
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office and document management software
