California Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Product Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to Product and Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
• Lead and coordinate the review of new product features with Information Security, Privacy, and other compliance functions
• Draft, review, and negotiate product-related agreements and policies while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

Required Qualifications

• JD degree
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably as product counsel in a technology company
• California bar admission in good standing or Registered In-House counsel status
• Experience with data privacy regulations, industry compliance standards, or intellectual property is a plus
• Technical expertise or educational background related to software is advantageous
