California Licensed Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance quality assurance processes in home loans, the full-time California Licensed Quality Assurance Specialist will implement evaluations, manage departmental projects, and conduct assessments remotely in California.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new quality assurance evaluations and lead departmental projects, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
• Conduct assessments to validate scoring accuracy and compliance with quality assurance standards
• Manage weekly defect research and reporting, collaborating with business units to recommend corrective actions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or equivalent work experience in a related field
• 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Mortgage Operations, Audit, Risk, or Compliance within a financial institution
• 3+ years of direct Home Loans/Mortgage experience (origination, processing, underwriting, post-closing, or QA review)
• Demonstrated experience performing complex QA reviews and second-level validations
• Proven track record of identifying control gaps and driving cross-functional remediation
