Job Summary

Providing clinical leadership in a fully remote capacity, the California Licensed Quality Management Clinician will oversee quality management, utilization management, and provider compliance within the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS), ensuring services are clinically appropriate and aligned with state and federal requirements.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical service authorization and medical necessity reviews for DMC-ODS functions, including residential and withdrawal management services
  • Develop and review clinical policies, procedures, and practice guidelines to ensure compliance and quality improvement in service delivery
  • Provide training and technical assistance to counties and providers on DMC-ODS clinical requirements and care coordination standards
Required qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a related clinical field
  • Current California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) licensure or license eligibility, such as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
  • A minimum of five years of experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or quality management
  • Strong knowledge of DMC-ODS requirements, ASAM criteria, and Medi-Cal documentation
  • Experience working with County Behavioral Health Plans, particularly in DMC-ODS functions, is strongly preferred
