Job Summary
Providing expert legal counsel on a range of transactional real estate matters, the full-time California Licensed Real Estate Counsel will negotiate agreements, conduct legal research, and assess legal risks while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts legal research and provides actionable insights on complex real estate issues, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
- Prepares, drafts, and negotiates legal documents, serving as a primary contact for clients and legal professionals
- Assesses legal risks and develops strategies to mitigate them, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- State Bar License from any state where the organization operates
- Experience in negotiating complex legal agreements and providing strategic legal advice
- Strong understanding of real estate law, including leasing, land use, and construction
- Ability to manage competing demands and adapt to changing legal environments
