Job Summary
To support a diverse patient population, the on-call California Licensed Registered Dietitian will provide nutrition consultations and education in a primary care clinic setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address nutrition-related health issues and chronic disease management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop evidence-based nutrition interventions tailored to individual patient needs
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and groups, focusing on access to nutrition programs and healthy eating habits
- Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and participate in case conferencing for quality health outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
- Experience teaching adults and facilitating workshops
- Knowledge of nutrition programs and evidence-based nutrition therapy
- 1-2 years of clinical experience is desired
