Job Summary
Providing legal guidance on regulatory compliance and corporate matters, the full-time California Licensed Regulatory Counsel will focus on data privacy, consumer protection, and emerging technology issues, while working remotely or onsite in Sunnyvale, California.
Key responsibilities
- Lead compliance initiatives for U.S. and international data privacy laws, including GDPR and CPRA
- Assess legal risks associated with AI-enabled products and support compliance efforts related to privacy and data protection
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze legal issues and provide actionable business guidance
Required qualifications
- JD degree and active California Bar membership, with 5+ years of legal experience, including in-house and law firm experience
- Strong knowledge of international, federal, and state privacy laws and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in developing compliance programs and policies for regulated industries
- Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business guidance
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
