California Licensed Release Manager

Job Summary

Managing end-to-end software release planning, the California Licensed Release Manager will coordinate multiple software releases, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure adherence to release management standards in a primarily remote, 3-month contract role with occasional onsite visits to Oakland, CA.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee software release planning, scheduling, coordination, and post-release activities
• Collaborate with AI, Software, Firmware, Hardware, DevOps, and Operations teams to execute successful releases
• Utilize Git, Jira, and Confluence for release management, project tracking, and documentation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of Release Management experience in software, firmware, and hardware development
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or similar technology environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Git and Agile project management tools like Jira and Confluence
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex releases in fast-paced environments
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
