Job Summary
Focused on administering public pension programs and compliance processes, the full-time remote California Licensed Retirement Specialist will manage retirement reporting for public retirement systems, including CalSTRS and CalPERS, while providing employee benefits administration and client support.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate retirement plan documentation and ensure compliance with STRS and PERS regulations
- Act as the primary liaison for clients with County Offices of Education and resolve escalated STRS and PERS issues
- Audit, process, and reconcile retirement contributions, collaborating with Payroll and Accounting teams for accuracy
Required qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum two years of experience in retirement plan administration or benefits administration
- Strong understanding of CalSTRS, CalPERS, and 403(b) retirement plans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate/advanced level
- Experience with payroll processing systems such as Paycor, ADP, or Paylocity is a plus
