California Licensed Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle management for gastroenterology services, the full-time California Licensed Revenue Cycle Specialist will manage billing and collections, submit accurate claims, and resolve outstanding balances while working remotely from approved states.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clinical departments and external clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring account resolution
• Research and resolve denied or underpaid claims, preparing and submitting timely appeals with necessary documentation
• Analyze coding deficiencies and coordinate reviews to enhance charge capture and minimize audit liability

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college courses in finance, business, or health insurance preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of professional and/or hospital revenue cycle billing experience required, with a preference for professional billing experience
• Experience in gastroenterology is preferred
• Ability to review and interpret medical documentation to support accurate billing and appeals
• Provide volume of cases worked as part of the application process
