California Licensed Safety Specialist

Job Summary

Leading safety programs and compliance efforts, the full-time California Licensed Safety Specialist will provide expert guidance on occupational safety, conduct inspections, and support GSA's national safety program while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on occupational safety, hazard control, and regulatory compliance
• Conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments; develop corrective action plans
• Develop and deliver safety policies, guidance, and training programs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field
• Minimum of five years of relevant scientific or technical experience in occupational safety and health
• Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred
• Expert knowledge of OSH concepts, principles, laws, regulations, and codes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
