California Licensed School Counselor

Job Summary

To support student success in a virtual environment, the part-time California Licensed School Counselor will provide individual and group counseling, conduct assessments, and collaborate with educators and families to promote academic and social-emotional development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, personal, social, and career development needs
• Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students' strengths and develop appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to foster a supportive and inclusive school environment

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited program
• Current state licensure or certification as a School Counselor or eligibility for licensure
• Previous experience working as a School Counselor in an educational setting (preferred)
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health issues
• Experience in teletherapy or online counseling services (preferred)
