Job Summary

Evaluating test responses from California teacher candidates, the part-time California Licensed Scoring Associate will work remotely to ensure scoring accuracy and maintain professional standards while participating in consensus scoring activities.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by California teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and engage in discussions with other scorers
• Recognize and address various types of bias in scoring processes

Required qualifications

• Must be a native speaker of the language with a college/university degree or hold a graduate degree in the appropriate language
• Possess a Single Subject Teaching Credential in the appropriate language or have authorization to teach the corresponding language in California public schools
• Be a resident of California with eligibility to work in the United States
• Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse) are required
• Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain a confidential work environment
