California Licensed Scoring Associate

Job Summary

To support the evaluation of teacher candidates, the part-time California Licensed Scoring Associate will remotely evaluate test responses in various languages, engage in consensus scoring activities, and maintain scoring standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by California teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in discussions with other scorers
• Recognize and address various types of bias in scoring practices

Required qualifications

• Must be a native speaker of the language with a college/university degree or hold a graduate degree in the appropriate language
• Possess a Single Subject Teaching Credential in the appropriate language or have experience as a college/university educator in that field
• Be a resident of California with eligibility to work in the United States
• Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse) are required
• Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain a confidential work environment
