California Licensed SEC Reporting Manager

Job Summary

To support a biotechnology organization, the remote contract Senior Manager, SEC Reporting will lead the preparation and review of external filings, support the audit process, and address complex accounting issues while ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of external SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
• Research and analyze complex accounting topics and draft technical accounting memos
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes and support SOX compliance initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in public accounting and/or public company accounting
• Strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• Proven experience preparing and/or reviewing SEC filings
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
