California Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To support a growing finance team, the contract Senior Accountant will manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with GAAP while working fully remotely for a duration of 6-7 months.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation while analyzing and recommending improvements to accounting processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on NetSuite ERP experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and data analysis
