California Licensed Senior Accounting Director

Job Summary

To lead and scale a global accounting organization, the remote California Licensed Senior Accounting Director will manage core accounting operations, oversee external reporting, and strengthen internal controls while collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership across the accounting organization, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close
• Own the global close and consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities
• Oversee all external financial reporting, including SEC filings and audit coordination, while maintaining compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• 12 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles within public companies or late-stage private organizations
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and technical accounting
• Experience overseeing core accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Strong understanding of equity and stock-based compensation accounting
• CPA required
