Job Summary
Working with a high degree of autonomy in a remote environment, the full-time California Licensed Senior Actuarial Analyst will contribute to the actuarial pricing and reserving group, mentor colleagues, and perform data analysis to support business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Extract, manipulate, and validate data while performing analyses and completing ad-hoc requests
- Evaluate existing processes for efficiency and identify opportunities for automation
- Maintain industry knowledge and represent the organization at external events
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline
- Two years of actuarial experience, preferably in California personal lines
- Completion of a minimum of four actuarial exams with plans to pursue fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society
- Proficient SQL and data manipulation skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, R, Python, or other relevant actuarial software
