Job Summary
Managing workers' compensation claims with minimal oversight, the full-time California Licensed Senior Claims Adjuster will handle medical and indemnity benefits, address litigation and complex issues, and manage moderate to high exposure cases in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Completes initial contacts to verify coverage, determine compensability, and develop action plans while maintaining claim data integrity
- Independently analyzes case facts to establish reserves and collaborates with Corporate Claims to mitigate high exposure losses
- Reviews litigation issues and directs legal strategy, while mentoring team members as a Subject Matter Expert
Required qualifications
- 7 or more years of related claims experience, including complex claim handling
- Demonstrated knowledge of workers' compensation laws and adherence to relevant statutes and regulations
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience preferred
- WCCP, AIC, ARM, CPCU, or other insurance designation preferred
