California Licensed Senior Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking a California Licensed Senior Counsel in General Liability Insurance Defense and Coverage, the full-time position will manage high-exposure cases, provide mentorship to junior attorneys, and develop strategic defense themes while working in a flexible environment that supports remote, hybrid, or onsite arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop compelling case themes to counter plaintiff arguments
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior attorneys while maintaining client communications

Required qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active bar license in the State of California
• 8+ years of litigation experience in general liability insurance defense and coverage matters
• Proven ability to manage full case responsibilities, including discovery and trial
• Strong experience handling insurance defense cases, particularly general liability and coverage issues
