California Licensed Senior Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting the Module/Solution Sales business in North America, the full-time California Licensed Senior Counsel will negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements related to solar PV modules and energy storage systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and review various agreements and legal documents to support business objectives
• Provide practical legal advice to management and assist with compliance initiatives
• Collaborate with sales and project teams to resolve contractual issues and develop new contract templates

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in contract negotiations, preferably in the energy or renewable industry
• Experience in leading law firms or in-house roles, with a focus on commercial contracting
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to draft complex legal contracts
• Proficiency in managing outside counsel and internal resources for transaction execution
• Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office and web meeting applications
