California Licensed Senior Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting the direct-to-homeowner solar sales and financing business, the full-time California Licensed Senior Counsel will manage a variety of legal matters including consumer protection, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts while collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing litigation support.

Key responsibilities

• Primarily support contracts for the TPO business, focusing on consumer and dealer contracts
• Negotiate, draft, and review various commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and partners
• Provide legal support for litigation, regulatory matters, and create legal forms and processes while educating the business on relevant legal issues

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of legal experience with top law firm training preferred
• In-house experience with a broad range of responsibilities
• Experience in the direct-to-homeowner solar sales and financing business or clean energy sector is a plus
• Strong judgment with the ability to communicate legal risks to non-attorney audiences
• A proactive attitude with a history of career advancement and problem-solving capabilities
