California Licensed Senior Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting the direct-to-homeowner solar sales and financing business, the full-time California Licensed Senior Counsel will manage contracts, negotiate agreements, and provide legal support across various areas including consumer protection and compliance, while collaborating with cross-functional teams at the Irvine, CA office, with potential remote work for exceptional candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Primarily support contracts for the TPO business, focusing on consumer and dealer contracts
• Negotiate, draft, and review various commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and partners
• Provide legal support for litigation, regulatory matters, and create legal processes while educating the business on key legal issues

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of legal experience, preferably with top law firm training
• In-house experience with a broad range of responsibilities
• Experience in the direct-to-homeowner solar sales and financing sector or related clean energy technology
• Strong judgment and ability to communicate legal risks to non-attorney colleagues
• A proactive attitude with a history of career advancement and effective project management skills
