California Licensed Senior Counsel
Job Summary
Providing strategic legal advice on complex employment law issues, the full-time California Licensed Senior Counsel will manage legal risks, collaborate with HR on policy development, and oversee legal documents and research in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and review complex legal documents and provide expert legal guidance to clients and legal professionals
- Conduct and manage comprehensive legal research and analysis of employment law to inform business strategies
- Assess legal risks and develop innovative solutions while overseeing junior attorneys and collaborating with stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in employment, labor, or employee benefits law
- At least ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent legal degree
- State Bar License from any state where the organization operates
- Experience in employee benefits administration and compliance is preferred
