California Licensed Senior Counsel
Job Summary
Providing strategic legal guidance on complex employment law issues, the full-time California Licensed Senior Counsel will advise KP leadership and Human Resources on compliance projects, manage legal risks, and collaborate on cross-functional legal matters while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and review complex legal documents and provide expert legal advice to clients and legal professionals
- Conduct and manage detailed legal research, synthesizing findings to inform business strategies and decisions
- Assess legal risks and implement innovative solutions while overseeing junior attorneys and managing outside counsel
Required qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in employment, labor, or employee benefits law
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent degree
- State Bar License from any state where KP operates
