Job Summary
Providing expert legal counsel on complex employment law issues, the full-time California Licensed Senior Employment Counsel will advise leadership on compliance projects, evaluate legal risks, and collaborate with Human Resources to develop training and policies, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, and review complex legal documents and provide actionable guidance to clients and legal professionals
- Conduct and manage legal research on employment law, synthesizing findings to inform business strategies
- Assess legal risks and provide strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders, managing outside counsel as necessary
Required qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in employment, labor, or employee benefits law
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent degree
- State Bar License from any state where the organization operates
