California Licensed Senior Employment Counsel
Job Summary
Providing expert legal counsel on complex employment law issues, the full-time California Licensed Senior Employment Counsel will advise KP leadership and HR on compliance, legal risks, and policy formulation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and review complex legal documents and provide expert guidance to clients and legal professionals
- Conduct and manage legal research on employment law, synthesizing findings to inform business strategies
- Assess legal risks and implement strategies to mitigate them while overseeing junior attorneys and outside counsel
Required qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in employment, labor, or employee benefits law
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent degree
- State Bar License from any state where KP operates
