Job Summary
Providing strategic legal advice to leadership, the full-time California Licensed Senior Employment Counsel will manage complex employment law issues, collaborate with HR on compliance projects, and oversee legal risk assessments in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and review complex legal documents while overseeing the work of junior legal professionals
- Conduct and manage in-depth legal research and analysis of employment law to inform business strategies
- Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and guide senior stakeholders on regulatory matters
Required qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in employment, labor, or employee benefits law
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent legal degree
- State Bar License from any state where the organization operates
