California Licensed Senior Employment Counsel
Job Summary
Providing strategic legal counsel, the full-time California Licensed Senior Employment Counsel will advise KP leadership on complex employment law issues, collaborate on cross-functional legal matters, and oversee compliance projects while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and review complex legal documents and provide expert legal guidance to clients and legal professionals
- Conduct and manage legal research and analysis on employment law, synthesizing findings for senior business stakeholders
- Assess legal risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, collaborating with other attorneys and overseeing junior legal staff
Required qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in employment, labor, or employee benefits law
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent degree
- State Bar License from any state where KP operates
